A sick number of albums, more released after his untimely death than before. In all honesty, some probably should not have been considering it was murdered much like him. 2Pac's lyrics will always be incomparable, yet some producer should have never been allowed in the same room with his music. They could not produce the sound needed to carry Pac's spirit. Jazzy Pha needs a good old fashion south-side of Chicago ass whuppin for his role in Better Dayz. Although Eminem is capable of occaisionally pulling a hot track out of his ass (Renegade), his also did not have what it took to capture Pac's intensity. While on the subject of Rza, here's my two cents on his latest album Digi Snacks. If you are a fan, and are familiar with Rza's previous work, Digi Snacks is definitely worth a listen. From a production standpoint, it is all that you come to expect from the Rza-Rector, reminding us why he is known as one of Hip-Hop most innovative and influential producers. However Digi Snacks does have a slightly different formula than previous Rza efforts. To remain relevant in THIS Hip-Hop game today, many artists seem to modify some aspects of their own originality, and in some cases fail horribly. This album is borderline, it contains hits, but an equal share of misses. Bobby has stepped outside of his normal boundaries with unexpected collaborations, such as production from David Banner, and in some instances, delivers a totally new sound (which aint always a good thing). The less favorable records could possibly have been saved with the help of his veteran Wu family, but instead feature Mc's who are not his level and have little or no chemistry. Style

I have to start this off with X. I was hooked when I heard LL's "4,3,2,1" and my man said "But you asked for it baby!!!!" I remember thinking damn, that shit was kind of nice. Then I heard this cat kill it on Ma$e's "24 Hours to Live", I had to hear everything my man got on. I grabbed that "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" album as soon as it dropped. Back then you couldn't walk the street without hearing somebody barking like X or harmonizing that X shit. Say what you want about his more recent work, "shit gabbage", "shit wack", "X fell off", but one thing about DMX, he did him and expressed himself, unlike most of these cats following trends and wack ass fads.
