Kweli, known as a polictical rapper, caught some negative critiscism for his sophomore effort The Beautiful Struggle, for having a sound unlike his own with potential club joints, which totally missed in my honest opinion. Being the gifted lyricst that he is, Kweli will always display eye-opening bars, but mainstream pop music is not exactly what we look to this Mc for. We look to Kweli for that revolutionary and controversial sound that he does better than most (not Mos), and that has placed him on a higher plateu than most rappers in the game.
